A Saturday in Caltagirone

Well we finally found some time to go and check out a different part of the Island. This weekend it was Caltagirone. This town is largely famous for its ceramic and tile, which is awesome although fairly expensive, being that it is all hand made and hand painted. The four of us also got the chance to walk up the 142 stairs that were built there in 1608. The really cool thing is that every step is decorated with hand painted tile. It was really a long walk up those stairs. We got a chance to eat at local pizzeria and the boys got to try some of the ice cream there which is also hand made and really good. We are slowly getting around to see these amazing things, but the wait has been worth it, at least on this trip. We hope you all are well, we love and miss everyone. Have a great week.

Caltagirone looks like a beautiful place to visit. Glad you were able to get out and do some sightseeing. Hope when we come for a visit we can try some of their home made ice cream as well (yum). Hope baseball and T-ball are going good, Mikey and Andrew, and that you both are really have fun and meeting lots of new friends. We think of all of you and miss you, but so glad you like living in Italy. We look forward to making a trip to visit you soon.

Love,
Nina and Pappy
