Sweating it out...............

I guess we are unable to keep this site updated as much as we would like to, but in our defense, the internet here sucks and we were without it for about a week. Nothing new has been going on around here, besides the boys taking swimming lessons and working on their tans, we have just been hanging out around the house. The heat outside pretty much keeps us indoors. It is seriously hot here now. We are planning a snorkeling trip next saturday, and we will have some pictures of that to put on here. We hope all of you are doing fine and we miss you guys.....take care.

We apologize for not having updated this in almost a month.....it's hard to believe that much time has passed.....well the boys are almost done with school...just a few days left.....these pictures are of a field day that they had today........they had a really good time with their friends. Lea got to help organize the day and help out with the kids......I got out of work early and got to hang out during Andrews part of the field day......everything here is going fine....time is passing very fast, we can hardly believe that the summer is here.....we will try to update this more often and keep the pictures coming......take care and we miss you all............love michael, lea , mike and andrew..

Double Header

This weekend, both of the boys had a game on Saturday. We had to split the games up between us because they were at different locations and close to the same time. I went to Andrew's T-ball game. The kids on his team played really great together, considering they had only 3 practices before this game. Andrew really took to batting and hit a couple outfield ground balls. The scoring was kind of forgotten about and both teams "won" the game. He has five more games this season, so he will be looking forward to receiving his first trophy when its all over. Lea went to Mikey's game and she said that she was amazed at how well his team played. Mikey had a couple of hits and got tagged out on base twice. He found ways to relieve his frustrations by throwing his helmet and storming off the field....sometimes you have to blow off some steam, but Lea was there to assure him that it happens to everyone and it's all part of the game. Lea and I are very proud of both of them and they can't seem to get enough of baseball. They have another game this weekend and we will keep you guys highlighted on that. As far as Lea and I go, we are doing fine and just taking things one week at a time as far as getting the house all set up.....hopefully we will be finished before anyone visits. A Saturday in Caltagirone

Well we finally found some time to go and check out a different part of the Island. This weekend it was Caltagirone. This town is largely famous for its ceramic and tile, which is awesome although fairly expensive, being that it is all hand made and hand painted. The four of us also got the chance to walk up the 142 stairs that were built there in 1608. The really cool thing is that every step is decorated with hand painted tile. It was really a long walk up those stairs. We got a chance to eat at local pizzeria and the boys got to try some of the ice cream there which is also hand made and really good. We are slowly getting around to see these amazing things, but the wait has been worth it, at least on this trip. We hope you all are well, we love and miss everyone. Have a great week.

Baseball is in the air..........

Today the boys teamed up and had their first practice. They both played very well and are really excited about playing. The coaches are very patient and they work with the kids as well as run them around. Lea and I have our hands full because they both have separate practices at the same time. As soon as we get uniforms we will be posting pictures of them.

Tuesday April 22nd

Well, like we had posted before, Mikey tried out for the baseball league here. The practice was more like a placement to see how well the kids could play. Mikey did extremely well and we are very proud of him. As soon as he starts practicing with the team we will update you guys on what position he will be playing. As far as Andrew goes, he will be playing for the T-Ball league here as well, there wasn't a placement practice for him, so we will see what he will be doing as soon as he starts. Both of them will do very well whatever they play. Here are a few pictures of Mikey at the practice, we've also included some pictures of the boys and our friend's dog "Rocky". Saturday April 19th 2008

Its hard to believe that we have been gone for a month already. The time has been flying by for us. We are still working on getting the house the way we want it and there are still a few boxes left to be unpacked. The boys just got done with their spring break vacation and have been back in school for a week. Their summer break is just around the corner in June. They have adjusted really easily to the move and they have both been busy making new friends at school. Mikey is signed up for the baseball league and Andrew is going to start T- Ball. They have a placement tryout on Monday, so wish them luck. We haven't really gotten a chance to go out and explore the island too much yet but we are working on it. Lea and the boys have been able to go visit the town of Mineo, which is the closest town to us. They got to eat out there and do some shopping. We just bought a car on Friday. It's a 1992 BMW "M" 316i. It's going to be a descent little island car for us. We will probably get another one soon for my work car. We will post as many pictures as we take on here to show you guys what we do from time to time and try to keep this as current as possible. We love and miss you all.
